PCIA represents companies that develop, own, manage and operate towers, commercial rooftops and other facilities for the provision of all types of wireless, broadcasting and telecommunications services. The Personal Communications Industry Association has a distinguished history of helping build the industries that comprise the wireless telecommunications sector. From our beginnings in land mobile radio to paging and messaging, and from personal communications services (PCS) to tower and antenna siting, PCIA has been instrumental in facilitating the emergence and growth of core wireless services. We do this by providing our members with the expertise and support to address the regulatory, marketplace and technical issues that have the highest impact on their businesses. The backbone of wireless communications, the tower and antenna siting industry — or wireless infrastructure industry — is one of the most vital sectors of telecom today. Towers and antennas are essential to the formation of the carrier networks that transmit voice and data. They are, therefore, fundamental to the growth of all wireless communications.

Omnidirectional - The broadest range of high quality and time proven omnidirectional antennas. With four unique styles to select from, these antennas set the standard for omnidirectional coverage sites.
Teletilt is a remote controlled variable electrical downtilt base station antenna system. When electrical downtilt is used, the downtilt angle is kept constant over the entire azimuth range, thereby predictably controlling the RF energy. The effective horizontal half power beam width remains constant, independent of the downtilt angle. The maintenance of the half beam width over a range of downtilts means that electrical downtilt provides much better interference suppression in TDMA networks and controlled handoff zones and reduced pilot pollution in CDMA networks.
At ANI, we provide antenna sites, tower sites, and building rooftops suitable for PCS, Cellular, Paging, and other Wireless providers. Find one of our many sites located in 12 states across the Southeast by entering latitude & longitude to find sites within a 2-10 mile radius OR use map index.
ANI Site Development was incorporated in 1989 with the original goal of providing technical consulting to the communications industry. After completing several assignments for large cellular and paging companies, it became apparent that there was no organization or plan behind the site management or site ownership industry. Most building owners either did not want communications tenants or did not know how to handle the details of rooftop contracts, rates or technical considerations. Towers and rooftops also had little or no promotion, so prospective tenants faced the additional problem of not even knowing who to contact to rent space. ANI decided to offer a new service to the communications operators and site owners; a comprehensive, common sense approach to site management, that brings the tenants and the site owners together.

Jan. 7, 2003 -- California Amplifier, Inc. announced today that it has developed an adaptive digital beamforming smart antenna technology for 802.11 applications. Cal Amp has applied for patent protection on its beamforming technology and is evaluating incorporation of this technology into a next generation Wi-Fi chip, under a licensing agreement with an 802.11 integrated circuit developer.
In typical 802.11 systems, an access point acts as a hub station, coordinating communications between many client stations. Cal Amp's smart antenna technology, called RASTER(TM), resides at the access point to significantly enhance the coverage and data throughput, particularly in areas where poor signal quality is an issue. Unlike other approaches to increase throughput and coverage, products based on RASTER technology will not require any changes to the 802.11 standard, and are expected to work with commercially available network interface client cards.
California Amplifier's RASTER beamforming technology, which was initially targeted to MMDS applications, has been in development since calendar year 2000. RASTER uses multiple antennas and powerful digital signal processing to dynamically form an antenna pattern optimized to a desired client at any given instant, based on interference and other wireless channel conditions. Cal Amp has integrated RASTER with 802.11 physical layer and media access control processing, allowing an access point to form transmit and receive beams, cancel interference and better utilize high multipath, non-line-of-sight channels, thus substantially improving performance. Development of RASTER-enhanced products that are cost-competitive with standard access points will require integration of this technology into a next generation 802.11 chip, which the Company expects will occur over the next 12 months.

Union Pacific currently operates one of the largest private telecom networks in the United States. Ekanet, a Union Pacific company, plans to create value for this huge base of telecom assets, which includes 33,000 miles of railroad right-of-way, 1,400 fixed wireless towers and point-to-point microwave networks and data centers.
Targets for Ekanet are small- to medium-sized U.S. cities (so-called Tier 2-5 with populations from 25,000 to 1 million) which lie along Union Pacific and other railroad routes, and which have yet to benefit from the "broadband revolution." Even though demand is high, penetration rates to the high-speed broadband network in these areas are estimated at only 5 percent. Through Ekanet, these cities will soon find access to a variety of potential new business and residential services. Partnerships are a key part of Ekanet's business direction because one strategy will be to perform a relatively rapid national rollout. Thus, the first level of partners will be other railroads to make this a national product delivery rather than a regional one. Union Pacific covers everything west of the Mississippi but is likely to combine with assets of other railroads to cover coast-to-coast. The next tier of partnerships might include service suppliers, product and applications companies.
We now have the largest GIS driven microwave site database. In Chicago alone, 9000 buildings and microwave sites are waiting for your installation. These "rooftops" are indentified by all parameters needed for a successful installation. The same information is available for 20 other major market cities. A total of more than 100,000 prime locations in the USA. We have pictures and GIS based specification on all locations. Use the "Navigation" tool at the upper left to browse through this site. We have contact forms available for you to specify the type of site you want to develop; longitude, latitude, and azimuth data.

FWT is more than a support equipment supplier. We consider ourselves your partner - from the traditional to the innovative solutions. You will draw from our years of experience in responding to our partners' needs. FWT began operations in 1959 and, over the years, has expanded our product base from towers, shelters, and generators to mobile solutions (COWs), and cabinets (ROCCs). As wireless providers work to expand their networks, they are increasingly confronted by the NIMBY Syndrome (Not In My Backyard). As a result, FWT is meeting the growing need for hidden communication sites by constantly researching new ways to disguise our products. FWT is dedicated to equipping our customers with a variety of stealth products that are either totally hidden, or disguised so they are difficult to recognize as a cell site. FWT's first development in the area of reduced visibility sites was the PowerMount™, an antenna array that fits on existing electrical transmision towers. Over the years. FWT has developed a host of hidden products including the TREE-CELL™, flag poles, self-supporting towers with cladding, as well as painted monopoles that match the surrounding elements.

Rubytron has announced that the performance of its RadWire™ Distributed Antenna System (DAS) has been significantly improved. RadWire™ is a surface-wave distributed antenna system that replaces coaxial transmission line and networks of individual antennas with a single radiating wire. It utilizes Rubytron's proprietary surface-wave technology to provide the lowest cost solution to the problem of efficiently distributing wireless signals in indoor environments. The signal, which can originate from an onsite base station, off-the-air repeater or a high speed RF access point is first converted from coaxial cable to a wire-guided surface wave by a device known as a Transition Cone. This surface wave is now propagated and radiated by a single wire coated with a special dielectric.
RadWire is a next-generation product that offers an affordable solution to the problem of enhancing wireless coverage inside high-rise buildings, transportation terminals, shopping malls, campuses, warehouses and manufacturing facilities. RadWire is the ideal distributed antenna system based on the most elementary form of transmission line a single wire. It is the alternative to radiating coaxial cable, standard coaxial cable, fiber-optic distribution, and individual antennas yielding substantial savings in material costs and installation labor. Installation is straightforward, rapid and requires no special skills, tools or soldering equipment.
